I have had the opportunity to contribute to planning memorable events, ranging from weddings and corporate cocktail receptions to festivals. My work has focused on creating experiences that inspire and bring people together.

In my previous role, I served as the lead event planner for a capital markets conference, where I managed meeting space logistics and coordinated a high-end cocktail reception for over 300 business professionals. This three-day conference had a $75,000 budget, and I was also responsible for planning two full days of catered meeting space for our company’s internal team.

At Mortgage Capital Trading, my previous event position, I assisted in planning and executing three consecutive years of the MCT Exchange, a prominent three-day capital markets conference attended by 500 business professionals.

My responsibilities included managing the event app, updating the event website with content, instructions, sponsorship details, and more, as well as providing day-of support from 7 AM setup to 9 PM close. Additionally, I filmed, edited, and promoted a recap video of the MCT Exchange (shown to the right), which was used to promote future events.

While at Corridor Coffee in Grand Rapids, MI, I was not only in charge of the social media and their marketing plan creator, I also was in charge of booking events for the extra space the coffee shop had on the second floor. I utilized our social media to promote said events as well.

I had the opportunity to work as Assistant Event Planner at the Lakeshore Arts Festival, a prominent art event in Muskegon, MI, showcasing a wide range of creative works from woodcraft to photography.

As the assistant to the lead event planner, I was actively involved in all aspects of planning and execution, including event logistics, day off set up and tear down, as well as social media and merchandise.

In addition to logistic preparation for the event itself, I spearheaded the #LAFGoesGreen initiative to make the festival more environmentally friendly, which included hiring a water refill station company and increasing the number of recycling bins throughout the event.

As the social media lead, I promoted this initiative extensively on Instagram and Facebook, leveraging the #LAFGoesGreen hashtag to raise awareness and encourage participation.

Festival Merchandise on Website

Part of my role was also to be festival merchandise lead. I shot, modeled in, determined pricing, and promoted our current merchandise for the upcoming festival.

One of the most significant event planning experiences in my career was working with Plum & Ivy Events, a rapidly growing event planning company.

In this role, I was deeply involved in every aspect of the planning process, from creating detailed day-of schedules to managing 12-hour event days. I gained hands-on experience handling setup, tear-down, vendor and client management, and everything in between.
